We receive many covers each quarter. There are certain things we look for. in each individual cover submitted. There are covers that have some of the elements but not all, however there may be one or two still worthy of recognition. We will then award an Honorable Mention. If the 'TIPS' box is check at the bottom of the submission form, we will describe why the cover was awarded an HONORABLE MENTION. There was no GOLD winner(s) the month of APRIL 2020. Occasionally, there may be as many as two or three winners.

Selecting Fonts for your book —

There was one author that asked a question about typefaces for his children's book. All of the text within the book had 'drop shadow' type.

My response to him was — ‪Nice illustrations. Your BODY TEXT should be in ONE solid color. Black or white. This is not the place to be 'cutesey' Don't ruin it with type that is illegible. Good luck.‬
