No talking pencils, fruit or flying carpets...just intelligent, meaningful stories that children and adults can relate to. This page highlights a collection of diverse children’s books by kidsShelf Books. Visit www.pamricedesign.com to see the entire line. These books are written to peak children’s imagination and tap some of their actual experiences. There are adventures that motivate children to think and play outside the box.
We try to encourage new writers to use quality & design production services. We also highlight illustrators, which we think have a professional and unique style. Hopefully, this will encourage new authors and writers who struggle to find a style of illustration for their books. We offer tips and give suggestions on creating great book covers.
We encourage new authors to participate in our Quarterly Book Cover Contest. (LIKE our page and stay tuned for postings). Often, we have FREE book promotions. Again, LIKE our page and stay tuned for postings.

Jean-Michel Basquiat, a rebelious young man who left home early to pursue his art. I became fascinated with his ambitious body of work and was saddened by his premature death. It was Jean-Michel Basquiat's person, not so much his art (neo-expressionist) during the movement in the 1980s, I likeed. I came across a gentleman with a treasure-trove of Basquiat's images and I wanted to capture Basquiat's many expressions on canvas.
Jean-Michel Basquiat was earning millions of dollars per year at his absolute peak. At the time of his death, including the present value of his works, Jean-Michel Basquiat had a net worth of $10 million. But it should be noted that his lifestyle around this time was a level or two above a homeless person. After breaking out as a member of the Manhattan graffiti duo SAMO, his paintings began being exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. Basquiat passed away from a heroin overdose in 1988, after which time his work steadily increased in value.
Today, Basquiat's paintings are some of the most valuable modern works on the planet. In May 2017, a Basquiat painting sold to a Japanese collector for $110.5 million, a record sale price for an American artist.
Real adventurers appreciate being in-tuned with mother nature. They have a sixth sense, a necessary intuitive tool to achieve the task at hand….it is called survival. It is essential for the ‘red sky’ experience, whether it’s sailing the high-seas, diving in the deepest oceans, climbing or biking one of the highest mountains or camping in lush green jungles.
